#1 PM Modi commissioned Scorpene class Submarine INS Kalavari into the Navy in Mumbai on 14 Dec.
 Kalvari named after deep sea Predator tiger shark found in the Indian Ocean. This is the first of six submarines built by Mazagon Dock Limited under Project 75 and designed by French company DCNS. Indian ocean is very important in global trade, commerce and development of country. This submarine play major role in tackling piracy , drug smuggling and terrorism via the sea. Next in the Scorpene submarines will be INS Khanderi. This is the perfect example of Make in India.

#2 Income inequality in India has reached at recorded high levels according to World Inequality Lab. In India the top 0.1 % of earners have captured more growth than all those in bottom 50%  since 1980. This research aims to contribute to a more informed global democratic debate on economic inequality by bringing the most upto date and comprehensive data to the public discussion. However China recorded much higher growth rates with significantly lower inequality levels than India

#3 Government finalised a set of "Model Rules " under Private Security Agencies Regulation Act 2005 to regulate operation of cash vans by agencies hired by banks and other financial institutions.

"Model Rules" says  : No ATM ( automated teller machine) to be refilled with cash after 9 pm in cities, 6 pm in rural areas and 4 pm in Naxal-hit areas.

#4 Parliament winter session 16 Dec to Jan 5. There are 14 sittings in 22 Days

Around 41 items of Government Business (40 Bills and 1 Financial Item) have been identified and will be taken up in both the houses of Parliament.

•  The Muslim Women's (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2017 related to triple talaq 
• Legislation on granting Constitutional status to the Backward Class Commission 
• The Central Goods and Services Tax(Compensation to States)Bill, 2017;
• The Indian Forest (Amendment) Bill, 2017
• The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code(Amendment) Bill, 2017
• The Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance (FRDI) Bill, 2017;

are among the important bills that will be tabled for discussion and passage.
