#1 PM Modi commissioned Scorpene class Submarine INS Kalavari into the Navy in Mumbai on 14 Dec.
Kalvari named after deep sea Predator tiger shark found in the Indian Ocean. This is the first of six submarines built by Mazagon Dock Limited under Project 75 and designed by French company DCNS. Indian ocean is very important in global trade, commerce and development of country. This submarine play major role in tackling piracy , drug smuggling and terrorism via the sea. Next in the Scorpene submarines will be INS Khanderi. This is the perfect example of Make in India.
#3 Government finalised a set of "Model Rules " under Private Security Agencies Regulation Act 2005 to regulate operation of cash vans by agencies hired by banks and other financial institutions.
"Model Rules" says : No ATM ( automated teller machine) to be refilled with cash after 9 pm in cities, 6 pm in rural areas and 4 pm in Naxal-hit areas.

Around 41 items of Government Business (40 Bills and 1 Financial Item) have been identified and will be taken up in both the houses of Parliament.

- Legislation on granting Constitutional status to the Backward Class Commission
- The Central Goods and Services Tax(Compensation to States)Bill, 2017;
- The Indian Forest (Amendment) Bill, 2017
- The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code(Amendment) Bill, 2017
- The Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance (FRDI) Bill, 2017;
are among the important bills that will be tabled for discussion and passage.
